August 19, 2020: ALDI Peach Recall Initiated For Potential Salmonella Contamination

ALDI Peach Recall Announcement

On August 19, 2020, ALDI announced a peach recall for assorted peaches obtained from its supplier, Wawona Packing Company, because the fruits may be contaminated with the foodborne pathogen, Salmonella enteritidis.

According to a company press release, the affected peaches have been removed from select ALDI grocery stores in Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

The peaches subject to the recall were also available for purchase through the company’s partnership with the online grocery delivery service, Instacart.
