Banner Smoked Fish Product Recall Information
On June 2, 2021, Banner Smoked Fish, Inc., of Brooklyn, NY, has recalled all of its smoked fish products. This recall includes all expiration dates, package sizes, package types, and lots. The smoked fish products come in various sizes in air pack and vacuum packages, with lot number or sell by dates on the back of the package. The affected smoked fish products were distributed to retailers, distributors, and online in Arizona, California, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Product information and pictures of the forty-two (42) recalled smoked fish products can be found on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recall announcement.
FDA found, through routine inspection, that the smoked fish products were processed under unsanitary conditions. Consumers who purchased these products are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
