Fresh Express Iceberg Salad Recall News – Fresh Express has issued a recall of certain Marketside Classic Iceberg Salad products from select stores due to a potential Cyclospora exposure.
Fresh Express Iceberg Salad Recall Information
On June 25, 2020, Fresh Express announced a recall of its Marketside Classic Iceberg Salad products in relation to the ongoing bagged salad Cyclospora outbreak. To date, Jewel-Osco, ALDI, and Hy-Vee have issued recalls for their bagged salad products, in conjunction with Fresh Express.
This recall affects all product codes of Marketside Classic Iceberg Salad sold in 12 and 24oz. packages with best-if-used-by-dates of May 19 to July 04, 2020 and distributed to certain stores between June 1 and June 21 in Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Walmart retail stores are removing the recalled product from store and inventories. Consumers in possession of the recalled Marketside Classic Iceberg Salad should discard it immediately.

Cyclospora Information
Per the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Cyclospora infects the small intestine (bowel) and usually causes watery diarrhea, with frequent, sometimes explosive, bowel movements. Other common symptoms include loss of appetite, weight loss, stomach cramps/pain, bloating, increased gas, nausea, and fatigue. Vomiting, body aches, headache, fever, and other flu-like symptoms may be noted.
