Iberia Peninsula Restaurant Outbreak News – Local health department officials will investigate a potential food poisoning incident which occurred on Sunday night at the Iberia Peninsula Restaurant located in Newark, New Jersey. Patrons attending a party held at the restaurant that evening, later became ill with food poisoning symptoms. So far, at least one person has been hospitalized and is in intensive care at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
The foodborne pathogen, Salmonella, may be responsible for the illnesses.
