The Public health Department of King County and Seattle Washington have reported a food poisoning outbreak of Salmonella associated with the Irish pub Fado.

Two patrons were sickened with salmonellosis. Neither were hospitalized. The two patrons experienced illness after eating at the establishment on June 27 and June 28, 2016, respectively.

Seattle Irish Pub Fato Food Poisoning Investigation

The individuals, who were not in the same meal party, both reported eating bacon cheese burgers with French fries. After investigation, the Public Health Department found several violations of cleanliness standards, such as inadequate cleaning of equipment, inadequate handwashing, and inadequate handwashing facilities. Since this inspection the Health Department found that all violations were addressed.
