Jewelry Kit Lead Recall
This recall was initiated by the discovery that the “Slider Bracelet” in LaRose Industries’ Cra-Z-Jewelz Ultimate Gem Jewelry Machine contains high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.
Lead Danger Information
According to the FDA, exposure to lead can cause serious damage to the central nervous system, kidneys, and immune system. In children, chronic exposure to lead, even at low levels, is associated with cognitive impairment, reduced IQ, behavioral difficulties, and other problems.
Jewelry Kit Lead Recall Description
This recall involves two models of LaRose’s Jewelz Gem Creations jewelry making kit and one refill product. The UPC code is printed on the outside of the product box and on the bottom of the “Gem Machine.”

About 175,000 units have been sold.
Kmart, Toys R Us, Walmart and other retailers sold the Shimmer N’ Sparkle Cra-Z-Art Cra-Z-Jewelz Gem Creations Ultimate Gem Machine from August 2015 through April 2016 for $30.
Toys R Us, Walmart and other retailers sold the Shimmer N’ Sparkle Cra-Z-Art Cra-Z-Jewelz Gem Creations Gem Charm and Slider Bracelets from August 2015 through April 2016 for $10.
Target stores sold the My Look Cra-Z-Art Cra-Z-Jewelz Gem Creations Ultimate Gem Machine from August 2015 through April 2016 for $30.
