Hillsdale Furniture has announced a recall of a Bob’s Discount Furniture Bunk Bed, after the company was informed that the bunk bed’s side mattress support rails can crack or break, posing a fall hazard.
650 People Suffer Bob’s Discount Furniture Bunk Bed Fall Injury
This risk resulted in about 650 reports of bed support rails cracking or breaking, resulting in the collapse of the upper or bottom bunk bed. Due to this breakage, some consumers fell from the bunk bed, include eight reported injuries to children and adults that resulted in bruising, lacerations requiring stitches and one upper arm fracture.
Other product failures that may lead to injury to a child include E-Cigarette Nicotine Poisoning and Child Bicycle Trailers Crash Hazard.
