Quizno’s Salmonella Outbreak News – The Post Bulletin of Rochester, Minnesota, reported that health officials are still investigating a Salmonella food poisoning outbreak linked to a local Quizno’s sub shop. The Quizno’s Subs, located at 3499 22nd Ave, NW, was closed for one day this past October, after 10 workers and customers became ill with Salmonella food poisoning.
Quizno’s Salmonella Outbreak Update
According to Minnesota Department of Health spokesperson Doug Schultz, “At last count we had 22 cases, only one person [was] hospitalized and released.” He also stated that, “We’re still investigating the outbreak, and part of that investigation involves produce items being the likely vehicle for the contamination.”
Although not confirmed, tomatoes are suspected as a possible source of the Salmonella contamination.
