Savannah Food Company Recall News – Savannah Food Company, Inc. is issuing a recall for types of its Cornbread Dressing and Bread Stuffing that included frozen diced eggs supplied by Almark Foods of Gainesville, GA. Products containing frozen diced eggs from Almark Foods have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes (Listeria).
Savannah Food Company Recall Information
On January 21, 2020, Savannah Food Company issued a recall for its Cornbread Dressing and Bread Stuffing products that included diced eggs due to a possible Listeria exposure. This recall was issued due to a supplier notification that Almark Foods supplied lots of frozen diced eggs potentially contaminated with Listeria.
This recall is taking place due to supplier notification that Almark Foods supplied certain lots of frozen diced egg products which may be contaminated with Listeria and its association with a Listeria foodborne illness outbreak investigation.
Savannah Food Company products were distributed through wholesale distributors to restaurants, delis, cafeterias, and food services in the following states: Tennessee, Alabama, Texas, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Arkansas. The affected products were packaged in plastic or aluminum trays.
Product “Use By” dates range from “USE BY 04/2021” to “USE BY 12/2021” which can be located stamped on the package label and side of corrugated case.
