Cronobacter Information
Per the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Cronobacter infections have been reported in all age groups. However, infants, the elderly, and people with immunocompromising conditions appear to be at greatest risk of Cronobacter infection and can experience more severe symptoms. Meningitis due to Cronobacter occurs almost exclusively among infants in the first 2 months of life.
A healthcare provider should be consulted immediately if any adverse symptoms are noted.
