WBTV’S Kristen Hampton reported that although Hermanos Chavez has been cleared by the Health Department, the owner has chosen to re-open his grocery store while the restaurant dining room remains closed.
The restaurant and grocery store were closed on November 2, following reports that dozens of patrons and restaurant workers had contracted Salmonella food poisoning.
Health Department officials say that all of the steps necessary for the clean-up of the restaurant have been taken.
